The Trainer’s EDGE is the required train-the-trainer course for Wood Badge and NYLT staffs.  It is meant to supplement the practice offered through Wood Badge and NYLT staff development, with a focus on the participant, while raising the level of skill a trainer brings to the staff experience.  Only practice can polish these skills, but this course is intended to “train the trainer” on behaviors and resources while offering hands-on experience in methods and media.  This course is recommended for Scouters who would like to be a District level trainer.

The course is scheduled as follows:

Date:  Saturday, November 16, 2013,  8:00am – 5:00pm

Location:  First Lutheran Church, 230 South Second Street, Albemarle, NC 28001

Uniform:  Field Uniform (Class A)

Pre-course Preparation:  Please prepare a 10 to 12ÔÇÉminute presentation on a topic from any BSA material.  Your presentation should allow you to demonstrate the skills of a trainer in a small group setting.  You will receive constructive feedback on your presentation from the other participants.  If you wish to use a digital presentation as an audio-visual aid, please let me know several days in advance and bring your own laptop.  A digital projector will be available for a limited number of presentations.

The cost is only $5.00, which will cover lunch.  Pre-registration is required but no payment will be collected in advance.  Payment (in correct change) will be expected at the door.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact
