It’s time for the Central North Carolina Council to bring its “A Game” and we need YOUR help!
On Tuesday, May 15, we’ll give you the tools your unit needs to succeed and become one of the premier units in your district. “Backpack to Retention” is an exciting, innovative training endeavor aimed at improving and growing Scouting in your unit. We will be focusing on a host of topics essential to the organization and quality of a successful unit. In three short hours, we’re going to load up your backpack with ideas and procedures that have helped units across the nation provide a flourishing, exciting Scouting program. Recruitment and retention ideas? ~We got it. Calendar planning and unit finances? ~Check. We will have Leader Training, Advancements, Council Activities, and so much more! Whether your unit is new or old, this program is sure to benefit your Scouts and set your unit up for the pinnacle of success, the 2012 “Journey of Excellence.” Also, you’ll receive the most current 2012/2013 district/council calendar at this meeting, a great benefit as you plan your unit’s fall program calendar.
Mark your calendar now – May 15, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at Camp Barnhardt. The best way for us all to succeed is to get this vital information to each unit, so PLEASE make sure your unit is represented at this meeting by at least 1 leader. Share the news of this event with your fellow leaders to make sure everyone has an opportunity to attend and benefit. To make sure we have plenty of handouts and an amply supply for the Cracker Barrel, please utilize this registration site to reserve a spot.
