Edit Documents
You can edit the document description, start date, and ending date. You can also replace the document that was originally uploaded. These instructions assume that the Document Library main edit page is displayed.
To edit documents:
If you need to change the organization, choose the organization from the drop-down list at the top of the page.
Select a document from the Document List.
Click the Edit Document Information radio button in the Functions list.
Click the OK button at the bottom of the page.
The Edit Document page will be displayed. The current information will be
displayed in the fields. The current file name is displayed and cannot be
changed. You can however, replace the file.
If you need to change the description, enter or change
it in the Description text box.
This field will be displayed as the title of the document on the Main
Information page and the Document Library View page.
If you want to replace the document, click the
Replace Document button.
The Replace Document page will be displayed.
If you know the file name and the path, enter the file
name and full path in the filename text box and skip to step #11.
This is the document file that will be uploaded to the Document Library.
If you do not know the path, click the Browse
button to browse for the path and file name.
The Choose File dialog box will be displayed.
Navigate to the folder in which the document is stored.
Select the file name and click the Open button
on the Choose File dialog box.
The system will close the dialog box and store the name and path information
in the Filename text box.
Click the Update button on the Replace Document page.
The system will update the document and will return to the Edit Document
page.
If you want to change the date when the document will
be displayed, enter it in the Date to Start Displaying Document text box.
Enter the date in mm/dd/yy format.
If you want to put an end date to the display of the
document, enter the date in the Date to End Displaying Document text box.
Enter the date in mm/dd/yy format.
Click the Add button at the bottom of the page.
The system will make the required changes and display the Document Library
main edit page. The edited document is displayed in the Document List.
If you are through with the Document Library function, click the Done button to return to the Main Information page.
