Event Administration Overview


The Calendar & Events Signup function on the Features List sidebar menu allows you to view the activity calendar for the current and associated organizations, view events on the calendar, create an Event Report for a specified timeframe, register for events and if you have the proper privileges, maintain events directly from the calendar.  The Calendar and Events function on the Administer sidebar menu allows you to create new and maintain existing events for the organization.    The types of events include Calendar Activities (such as an outing or a meeting); Dues (such as annual membership fee), and Fund Raisers (such as a campaign with a goal).

In addition, under this set of functions it is also possible to manually assign members to an event, define other organizations that can register or pay for the event, send invitations for the event or recover previously deleted activities/events.

The event information entered is displayed on the applicable event details page for the calendar activity, due or fund raiser.  Event details are accessed either through the calendar on the date(s) of the event or the banner which appears below and to the left of the organization name that appears on every page.

Users with the proper privilege (Create Events) have multiple ways to create and maintain activities and events.  You can click on the Calendar and Events link under the Administer Sidebar menu to create and maintain any type of event, or you can go directly through the month, week, or day views of the calendar.  The calendar views also allow you to directly add a calendar activity without having to pass through the Manage Events and Send Invitations page.
