Convenience Fee

This is a calculated amount for the payment processing fees. It is based on a percentage of the minimum donation amount plus a flat processing fee. The convenience fee is the amount that will be remitted to Doubleknot for cost for payment processing. Because different credit cards types have different payment processing fees associated with them, the amount displayed as the convenience fee is for the credit card type that costs the most to process based on the minimum donation amount. Since donors can choose to donate more than the minimum, the actual convenience fee deducted will vary. The fees for payment processing are described in Doubleknot's terms of service and payment processing fees.
