Convenience Fee

This is a calculated amount for the payment processing fees. It is based on a percentage of the activity cost plus a flat processing fee. The convenience fee is the amount that is remitted to Doubleknot to cover the cost for payment processing.

Because different credit cards types have different payment processing fees associated with them, the amount displayed is the convenience fee is for the credit card type that costs the most to process. The actual convenience fee deducted will depend on the credit card type, number of people registered, applicable late fees, and any additional cost items are selected via one or more forms. The fees for payment processing are described in Doubleknot's terms of service and payment processing fees.

The flat processing portion of the convenience fee is applied against the entire purchase and not person or per item.  The percentage portion of the convenience fee is applied to the total cost of the purchase.
