Test Mode

Test Mode provides the ability to test how the payment process works with dues before making them "live" on the site.

Since Doubleknot is used by a wide audience of people, there is a lot of flexibility built into online payments through a number of options. These options are set when creating the campaign.  With all these options, it is difficult to anticipate how the payment process will work.

While in Test Mode, all information entered during the payment process is not saved. This includes members selected and any payment information entered. Or course any credit card information entered is not charged. A warning appears on each page and confirmation that the event is in test mode and data is not saved.

With exception to the warning message, in Test Mode all pages appear as they would when live as well as the email confirmations generated.

A few notes about using this feature.

1. Make certain the Test Mode option is selected as On.
2. Complete the details of the campaign.
3. Where applicable, set the preferences about who can pay.
4. Set the preferences for online payments.
5. Go to the Calendar or banner, as appropriate, and find campaign, click on the event to view it's details.
6. Click the Pay button and follow the process. (If the Test Mode warning message does not appear on the payment screen go back and make certain the Event has been saved with the Test Mode option on.)
