Reset User Password


This function allows you to request that the system assign another password to the user’s account.  The function can only be used for those users that have a valid email address stored in the database.  The system will automatically generate a new password, display it for you and send it via email to the user.

If you want to manually change the password for the user, please use the Logon Account & Privileges function.  If the user wants to change the password, they can use the UserID and Password function in the Administer List sidebar menu.

To automatically reset the user password:

  1. If the Administer Members and Users page is not displayed, click the Member Information link in the Administer List on the sidebar menu.
    The Administer Members and Users page will be displayed. 

  2. If you need to change the organization at this point, select it from the Select an Organization drop-down list at the top of the page.

  3. If you want the member lists displayed for rosters in any year, turn off the Only show roster for current year checkbox option at the bottom of the page.
    A checkmark in the box will limit the information to the current year roster.  A blank checkmark will retrieve members from all years.

  4. Click the Create and Administer Individual Users radio button.

  5. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
    The Member Administration List page will be displayed.

  6. Select the member’s name from the Membership List.
    You can select only one item at a time from this list.

  7. Click the Reset & E-mail Users Password radio button.

  8. Click the OK button at the bottom of the page.
    The Reset Member Password check page will be displayed.  This page will ask you to verify that there is an email address stored for the user.

  9. If the user does not have an email, click the No button to stop the process and return to the previous page.

  10. If the user does have an email address, click the Yes button to have the system generate a new password for the user and email it.
    The system will automatically generate a new password for the user, email it to them and will display the new password information for you.

  11. Click the OK button on the Reset Member Password page.
    The Member Administration List page will be displayed

  12. If you are through with administering individual members, click the Done button to return to the Administer Members and Users page.

    You can click the Features List link at the top of the page to return to the Main Information page.
