Doubleknot Main Menu: The Feature List
The Features List presents a list of functions that are
available based on individual access privileges. Doubleknot uses your user name
and password to determine what functions you can access. Only those functions
are displayed on the menu. Presented here is a list of all functions available
from the Feature List.
The Feature List functions include:

Logoff: Log off Doubleknot and return to the
organization's home page.

Calendar and Event Signup: Displays the calendar
of events and activities for an organization. The events can include event
descriptions, contact email address, cost, service hours, time and date, and
event locations that link to the map system. There is also a link to other
event information including the photo album. The calendar will also display
the events and activities of any parent organization. If the event
coordinator entered a register by date, Doubleknot allows users to register
and pay online for the event as well as send email messages to all event
participants.

Online Store: This function takes the user to the online store
for the organization.

Newsletters: Displays an organization's
Newsletters.

Library: Allows the user to view the
organization�s document library and open/download the documents they have
access to.

Bulletin Boards: Provides a forum for
communications among controlled groups of users. Participation can be
between different organizations, a single organization or group within an
organization.

Photo Albums: Displays an organization's Photo
Albums.

Member Directory: Allows searching of the member
directory. Search can be based on a leadership position (Vice President,
Scoutmaster, etc.), group (Directors, Army Ants, etc.) or by user name. From
the results you can click on a members name to get a detailed report
containing leadership history, advancement information (where applicable)
along with a list of activities that the member has participated in. This is
particularly valuable for reviews of member participation. It also allows
individual members to monitor their records and point out any problems. By
clicking on an address, a street map is displayed to locate the member.
Furthermore, if a photograph of the member has been uploaded, it can be
viewed.

Merit Badge Counselors: This is functionality
specific to Boy Scout organizations only. Similar to the member search, this
feature is used to find a merit badge counselor. You can search for a
specific badge or get a list of all counselors in a particular unit. Since a
scout is suppose to get permission from the Scoutmaster prior to beginning
work on a badge, some units elect to make this feature only available to the
Scoutmaster. Other units have elected to make it available to all unit
members. When the user clicks on the counselor�s address, a map is
displayed.

Communications Center: Send broadcast email messages to
others in your organization.
- Elist Signup: Provides the signup and removal from
electronic mail topic lists. Elists are used to facilitate communication
among organization members and non-members.
- I am a member of: Displays the list of all
organizations a user belongs to.
The Administration functions include:

My Information: This feature allows you
to update your mailing address, email address and phone number. For those
with access to more than one organization on Doubleknot, this feature also
allows you select your default organization.

My User ID and Password: Allows you to change your
user ID and/or password. A user ID and password is required to view the
member directory and other secure parts of the system.

Manage Events: The management of events for
an organization. This set of functionality allows for the creation of
calendar, class,dues and fund raising events. The management of
programs is also included in this set of functions. The administrator
can define who can register, whether or not payment can be collected online,
if there are forms to complete at the time of registration as well as other
functionality.

Forms and Surveys: This allows administrators to
create, edit and delete forms and surveys as well as view and export
information associated to form responses.

Newsletters: Provides the tools to create
newsletters and control who can see them down to the article level. It also
provides the capability to email the newsletters to all members of the
organization.

Library Documents: The management of documents for
an organization. Access to documents can be controlled down to the group
level in an organization.

Photo Albums: Allows the administrator to create
and upload photo graphics into the organization�s photo album.

Member Information: Used to create and manage
organization members and communications. Features include management of
users, groups, elists, visitors and leadership.

Store Management: This function allows administrators to manage
the site storefront, including products, categories and options, shipping
types, tax jurisdictions, store configuration, viewing and managing orders,
and a sales report.

Financial Accounts: This administrative function
allows those with permission to mange financial accounts where funds are
deposited upon receiving payment for events. It provides, account creation,
deletion and modification, viewing of detailed transaction records, funds
request, and cardholder refunds.

Merit Badge Counselors: This feature is available
to Boy Scout Organizations only. Used to create assign and manage Merit
Badge counselors. It is only available for those at the District or Council
level responsible for maintaining the Merit Badge Counselor List.

Organization Profile: This allows administrators to edit the
information that others see when viewing the "About Us" page.

Site Brander: Site
Brander functions allow you to customize the website and create links to
internal/external URLs or Include files

Important Messages: This function allows administrators to broadcast
messages to one or more organizations.

Email Broadcast: Used to broadcast email messages
to groups of users (board members, Scoutmaster, committee members, etc.).
Depending on your access privileges you will be able to send messages to
your organization, parent organization, or affiliated organizations. Also
whether or not your broadcast messages will be sent to youths within those
organizations.

Organization URL's: For advanced users who build
their own custom web pages. This is a list of URLs that are used to link
directly to Doubleknot functionality for your organization.

Reports:
The Admin Reports function will allow you to generate various reports.
