Delete Products

This function allows you to delete products from the database.  Deleted products are permanently removed from the product catalog.  

If you want to prevent the product from being displayed on your on-line store, but you want to keep it in the database, make the product inactive, do not delete it. This allows you to temporarily prevent people from buying an item, but it gives you the ability to make the item available for sale again at any time.  

Products that have been sold cannot be deleted before deleting any corresponding order(s) for integrity reasons.

To delete products:

1. If the Features List sidebar menu is not available, click the Feature List link at the top of the current page.

2. Click the Store Management link in the Administer sidebar menu.
   The Store Management main menu will be displayed.  This page allows you to select the type of maintenance that you want to perform for the store.

3. Click the Manage Products link in the Products section of the menu.
   The Manage Products page will be displayed.

4. Select the product that you want to delete from the Product List.
   The product name should be highlighted.

5. Click the Delete Product radio button.

6. Click the OK button.
   The system will ask that you verify the product deletion. 

7. If you want to continue the process and delete the selected product, click the OK button.
   The system will delete the product and will redisplay the Manage Products page.  The deleted product will no longer be displayed in the Product List.

8. If you are through with the Manage Products function, click the Done button at the bottom of the page to return to the Storefront Management menu, or click the Feature List link to return to the Main Information page.
