Add Shipment Types
To add shipment types:
If the Manage Shipment Types page is displayed, skip to step #5.
If the Features List sidebar menu is not available, click the Feature List link at the top of the current page.
Click the Store Management link in the
Administer sidebar menu.
The Store Management main menu will be displayed. This page allows you to
select the type of maintenance that you want to perform for the store.
Click the Manage Shipment Types link in
the Utilities section of the menu.
The Manage Shipment Types page will be displayed. The page contains a list
of existing Shipment options and functions that allow you to add, modify or
delete options.
Click the Add Shipment Type radio button.
Click the OK button at the bottom of the page.
The Add Shipment Type page will be displayed.
Enter a description of the shipment type in the
Description text box.
This field is required.
If the shipment option is dependent on the quantity of
the order,
enter the minimum quantity amount in the Quantity From text box and
enter the maximum quantity amount in the Quantity Until text box.
The sum of the quantity of all items in the card is matched against the
minimum and maximum quantity defined for shipping option. If quantity is
not a factor in the shipment type, leave the minimum and maximum set to 0
and 999 respectively.
If the shipment option is dependent on weight of the
order,
enter the minimum weight in the Weight From text box and
enter the maximum weight in the Weight Until text box.
The sum of the weight of all items in the cart is matched against the
minimum and maximum weighted defined for the shipping option. If weight is
not a factor in the shipment type, leave the minimum and maximum set to 0
and 99999 respectively.
If the shipment type is dependent on the total price of
the cart/order,
enter the minimum price in the Cart Total Price From text box and
enter the maximum price in the Cart Total Price Until text box.
The total cart price is matched against the minimum and maximum price
defined for the shipping type. If price is not a factor in the shipment
type, leave the minimum and maximum set to 0.00 and 9999.00 respectively.
If there is a fixed price to be added to the order if
the shipment type is selected, enter the price in the Fixed Price to Add
text box.
If fixed price is not to be added for the shipment type, leave this text box
set to 0.00.
If there is a percentage of the Cart Total Price to be
added if the shipment type is selected, enter the percentage amount in the
Percentage Price to Add text box.
If this is not a factor to be added for the shipment type, leave this text
box set to 0.
If amount of time to ship is a factor for the shipment option, enter the number of days in the Shipment Time text box.
If the shipment type is valid only for a particular
type of customer, select the customer type from the Customer Type drop-down
list.
If customer type is not a factor for this shipment type, leave the selection
set to All.
If the shipment type is valid for a particular zip or
postal code, enter the code in the Zip Code text box and click the Must
Equal check box to turn it on.
This will cause the system to list the shipment option for customers with
that zip or postal code.
If the shipment type is valid for a particular state or
province, select the appropriate code from the State drop-down list and
click the Must Equal check box to turn it on.
This will allow the shipment option to be listed for customers in that state
or province.
If the shipment type is valid for a particular country,
select the country from the Country drop-down list and click the Must Equal
check box to turn it on.
This will cause the shipment type to be listed for customers in that country
only.
Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
The system will save the new shipment type and will return the Manage
Shipments page.
If you are through with the Manage Shipment Utility,
click the Done button to return to the Storefront Management menu.
OR
If you are through with the Storefront Management function, click the
Features List link to return to the Main Information page.
