      Hello fellow Scouters, from your Cabarrus Scout Shop! For anyone going to these great High Adventure camps this summer, we have great selections on new and clearance backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, compasses, fire starters, hydration packs and many other items that you will need in order to have a wonderful time on these adventures!     • Boy Scouts of America Releases the 13th Edition of the Boy Scout Handbook
      Irving, Texas (March 23, 2016) - How can you use the sun for directions when your smartphone dies? How can you cook a meal using just foil? What's the best way to help a friend who's being cyber-bullied? While many turn to their favorite search engine to find these answers, Scouts know the answers and they learned them from the Boy Scout Handbook. The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) today released the 13th edition of its Boy Scout Handbook, a book that has been used by millions of Scouts to guide them through Scouting and life's many adventures.

    • CNCC Cub Scout Day Camps 2016
      Council and District staffs are currently planning the programs for the Cub Scouts who will attend day camp this summer. These cub Scouts shoot BB guns and bows and arrows; work on badges and rank requirements; sing songs; learn about nature; make crafts; and play games. If you have not made plans to attend, you should! Going to day camp is a wonderful part of the Cub Scouting experience, and it helps your pack earn Scouting's Journey to Excellence and Summertime Pack Awards.
    • 2016 Camp Card Sale
      The 2016 Camp Card is designed to help youth fund their way to 2016 Camp programs. This is a Risk Free Unit Sales project where all Scouts can earn their way to Camp,Philmont, other activities or simply support unit program or supplies needs. Each Camp Card will sell for only $5.00 to the general public and will have multiple food, service and entertainment discounts for the customer to use throughout the year! The participating unit will keep 50% commission of the sales for each Camp Card sold!
    • Youth Protection
      Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers. Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer's Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered.
    • Program Updates - 2014 and Beyond

    • Online Tour and Activity Plan
      Is your unit going on a trip? Don't forget to file a Tour and Activity Plan. A Tour and Activity Plan is required for all BSA units taking trips outside of council borders. Click above link for more information.

      The new vision for Venturing uses youth-led adventures and a simplified program model to provide a means of developing leadership skills, reinforcing the value of service to others, and creating opportunities for personal growth in line with the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
    • Voice of the Scout
      As part of a national Boy Scout of America program, the Central NC Council is excited to announce their participation in the Voice of the Scout. With over four million members nationally, this program is being adopted as a key way to collect experiences and deliver upon the expectation of members as they participate in Scouting.
    • Update Your Unit on the "Be A Scout" Map
      Attention Volunteers: The new "Be A Scout" Campaign has launched and the new Map feature is now Live on the National BSA site. This means that Youth and Parents IN YOUR AREA will be using this Map feature to find Scout Units.
