Delete Options

This function allows you to delete individual options.  This will permanently remove the option from the database.

If an option is currently assigned to an options group, you will not be able to delete it.  You must first remove it from the options group - please refer to Assign Options to a Group instructions.

To delete options:

  1. If the Features List sidebar menu is not available, click the Feature List link at the top of the current page.

  2. Click the Store Management link in the Administer sidebar menu.
The Store Management main menu will be displayed.  This page allows you to select the type of maintenance that you want to perform for the store.

  3. Click the Manage Options link in the Products section of the menu.
The Current Options page will be displayed.

  4. Select the option that you want to delete from the Options List.
The option name should be highlighted.

  5. Click the Delete Option radio button.

  6. Click the OK button.
The system will ask that you verify the delete.

  7. If you want to continue the delete process, click the OK button.
The system will verify that the option is not assigned to a group.
If it is not assigned, the option will be deleted from the database and the Current Options page redisplayed with a success message at the top of the page.

If the option is assigned to a group, a message will be displayed at the top of the page indicating that the option is assigned and the system cant delete it.  Use the instructions in Assign Options to a Group section in this manual to remove the option from the group and try the delete again.

  8. If you are through with the Manage Options function, click the Done button at the bottom of the page to return to the Storefront Management menu, or click the Feature List link to return to the Main Information page.
