Issued in 2002 - Blue Border - ONLY 600 made
In 2002 Central NC Council changed its CSP. This beautiful patch was created by a specially appointed committee of volunteers and was designed to be representative of our council. The artwork features our state with the Scout fleur-de-lis over our council territory (the "central" part of North Carolina). The red, white, and blue colors used in the outline of our state stand for our patriotism. The Native American with outstretched arms is the symbol of the International Lone Scout Association, now part of the BSA, whose Memory Lodge is located on our very own William C. Cannon Scout Reservation. The crossed and axe and saw have been the unofficial logo of our Camp John J. Barnhardt since its charter year in 1966.
