Who should take this training: (Maximum number of participants is 16)

* Scouts / Venturers (14yrs of age, or older)

* Scout leaders (Cub Scout / Boy Scout / Venturer)

 

Why:

* LNT Trainers can teach LNT Awareness Courses and Workshops.

* Leaders will receive in-depth information on how to ensure their unit outings are conducted with

   the best leave no trace practices.

* Trainer course is required to be appointed to the LNT Trainer Position of Responsibility.

* Trainer course is needed to meet req.6 for the National Medal for Outdoor Achievement.

 

What you will learn:

* Why Leave No Trace is so important

* In depth information about the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace

* How to apply and teach what you will learn about Leave No Trace

Once your registration has been processed, the course director will send you an introductory letter which will contain many suggested resources. Start studying now! Be prepared!

 

What to bring:

* Same as you would bring for a backpacking trip. *Bring your cat hole trowel! BSA Medical Form

* Notebook, paper, pen/pencil, any materials/props you need to teach your assigned topic.
