Mark your calendar now for the 2015 Wood Badge Kick-Off Banquet on March 4, 2015, at 6 pm at Camp Barnhardt. This event is for all CNCC adult Scouting volunteers – Wood Badge alumni, Scouters interested in signing up for the Fall 2015 Wood Badge course, and Scouters who have absolutely no idea what Wood Badge is all about. In addition to a great meal, lots of fellowship and memories, and a few hilarious program surprises (including the return of Ebert & Ebert), we will be unveiling the very first CNCC Wood Badge-specific council shoulder patch. Proceeds from the sale of that patch – as well as from a very special silent auction (with lots of neat stuff) that evening – will benefit our new Wood Badge Scholarship Fund. The program will also include break-out sessions, for those who have yet to take the course (to provide more detailed information about Wood Badge and why it’s something you shouldn’t miss) and for Wood Badge alums (to discuss new plans for re-engagement of our alumni network). Spread the word, especially to Scouters who have yet to share in the unique experience that is Wood Badge. This is an evening you shouldn’t miss, so come back to Gilwell!
