The maximum number of participants is only 16, so consider registering early.

Who should take this training: 
* Scouts / Venturers (14yrs of age, or older)
* Scout leaders (Cub Scout / Boy Scout / Venturer)
 
Why:
* LNT Trainers can teach LNT Awareness Courses and Workshops.
* Leaders will receive in-depth information on how to ensure their unit outings are conducted with
   the best leave no trace practices.
* Trainer course is required to be appointed to the LNT Trainer Position of Responsibility.
* Trainer course is needed to meet req.6 for the National Medal for Outdoor Achievement.
 
What you will learn:
* Why Leave No Trace is so important
* In depth information about the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace
* How to apply and teach what you will learn about Leave No Trace

How to prepare:
Once your registration has been processed, the course director will send you an introductory letter which will contain many suggested resources. Start studying now! Be prepared!
 
What to bring:
* Same as you would bring for a backpacking trip.
* Bring your cat hole trowel!
* BSA Medical Form
* Notebook, paper, pen/pencil, any materials/props you need to teach your assigned topic.

Cancellation Policy: Central NC Council has a NO REFUND Policy. We make every effort to have enough patches, programs supplies, food or whatever supplies each event requires. In order for that to happen we need to have accurate attendance numbers. Once you have registered for an event we are counting on your attendance and we be purchasing the needed items for the event. Due to this fact we cannot refund event and activities fees for any reason.
