From the office of Todd Walter Central NC Council Scout Executive On May 23rd, 2013, during the National Meeting of the Boy Scouts of America, voting delegates representing every council across our country were asked to support or reject a resolution related to our membership standards policy. While our voting members, representing the Central North Carolina Council and the opinion of our Scouting family, opposed this change, the national voting body voted in favor of the proposed membership standards resolution. The Central North Carolina Council's primary focus has been and will continue to be providing the highest quality programs to our youth. For more information on the resolution and this vote please refer to the national membership standards website at www.bsamembershipstandards.org |
