Description
Completion of this course will certify the participant as an American Red Cross Lay Responder CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor and an Authorized Provider with the Central NC Council, Boy Scouts of America. Candidates must have current CPR/AED certification from a recognized agency. A Red Cross CPR/AED course will be offered Friday night for those who do not currently possess the certification.
The instructor course will introduce candidates to the Red Cross, provide lesson plans and an opportunity to practice teach. Candidates will receive “homework” after Saturday’s class to present portions of the CPR/AED/First Aid course on Sunday.
Interested candidates will be provided an opportunity to bridge to become Wilderness & Remote First Aid instructors during April & May courses.

Lodging is available Friday & Saturday night in un-heated staff cabins
Meals will not be provided and there are no nearby restaurants. Plan accordingly and bring your own food.
