Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills for Boy Scout Leaders
Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster Specifics this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops and Varsity Scout Teams, in order to be considered “trained”.
Location:
Museum of the Waxhaws
What to bring:
Boy Scout Handbook, overnight camping gear, outdoor essentials and appropriate clothing. Be sure to carry a light load of only what you need to keep yourself safe and make a good camp. Lightweight backpacking tents for two only are suggested.
We will need to know the following:
1 - We will also need to know if the person needs electricity for a CPAP machine.
2 - Food allergies to be aware of.
