Fingerprinting will be taught by Austin Hedrick of Troop 442 who works on the Camp Barnhardt Staff with NightHawks and Aquatics. This badge can be completed during the week and is great preparation for Crime Prevention that Austin is teaching the next week. [email protected]
Citizenship in the Nation will be taught by Nathan Sageser, Eagle Scout from Troop 219 and a member of the Camp Barnhardt Eagles’ Nest Staff. This badge can be completed if scouts have already visited a national landmark, federal facility, or the capital (a parental note is acceptable). [email protected]
Personal Management will be taught by Nathan Sageser, Eagle Scout from Troop 219 and a member of the Camp Barnhardt Eagles’ Nest Staff. This badge requires scouts to keep a log of their personal finances for a period of time after the other requirements are completed. [email protected]
Oceanography will be taught by Mia Braun, a member of the Camp Barnhardt NightHawks Staff and Marine Biology major at Florida Southern. To complete the badge scouts will need paper for drawing with colored pencils or markers. They’ll also need to complete one of the projects that the instructor will explain (some supplies are needed that they can likely find around the home: one can be done with a thermometer if a lake or creek is nearby, another with a net and magnifying glass, another with clay, another with cardboard, etc.). Coin Collecting will be taught by Nathan Sageser, Eagle Scout from Troop 219 and a member of the Camp Barnhardt Eagles’ Nest Staff. This badge requires scouts to find coins from certain years.
