  • Online Tour and Activity Plan to Go Live May 1

  • FREE ADVANCEMENT
    Effective immediately, the Cabarrus Scout Shop, in addition to the council office in Albemarle, will be able to fill your advancement orders FREE of charge. All advancement orders must be accompanied by a properly completed advancement report.
  • Woodbadge 2012
    21st Century Wood Badge is an advanced training program for all BSA leaders that utilizes and teaches the latest leadership skills and development. Techniques and skills learned will help you to be a better leader in both Scouting and beyond. Starting in 1919, and continuing today, Wood Badge is the preeminent leadership training offered by the Boy Scouts of America.
  • Attention Scouts, Leaders, and Parents or Guardians
    Eagle Scout rank requirement 5 has been reworded. To support that change, a new Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook has been created. Click the above link for more information.
  • Philmont Training Center
    Registration for the Philmont Training Center - The National Training Center of the Boy Scouts of America - is online beginning September 15, 2011. Click above to learn more.
  • Internet Rechartering
    When rechartering, please include your meeting place, time and day. This is important to the registrar when questions arise. Also, please include your email address.

    If you are rechartering on line this year, you cannot start your recharter process until November 1st. Your ID number is located on the front of your recharter packet on the left side. If you have lost or cannot find your number, or have any questions concerning the recharter process, you may contact the registrar at 704-982-0141, Ext. 224 or email at [email protected]

  • Scouting's Journey to Excellence to Replace Centennial Quality Recognition Program
    "Scouting's Journey to Excellence" is the exciting NEW 2011 performance based recognition program that will replace the Centennial Quality recognition program.
  • Changes to BSA Youth Protection Leader Training
    Effective June 1, 2010 Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers, regardless of their position. New leaders are required to take Youth Protection training within 30 days of registering. Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer's Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered.
  • Guide to Safe Scouting
    This is a unit leader's guide for current B.S.A. policies and procedures to safe scouting activities. Topics include adult leadership, aquatics safety, camping guidelines, special unit activities, alcohol/tobacco policy, emergencies, first aid, fuels and fire prevention, guns and firearms, sports, inspections, medical information, transportation, youth protection and child abuse and much more.
